How can I add blue tinting to a Zelda sword? ?

I’m buying my nephew a replica sword from Zelda that he doesn’t even know exists (but has always dreamed of having) but the only problem is I know the sword from the game has a blue tint to the metal. How can I create that on the sword? Is there some type of clear blue sticky paper I can add? Would it mess the sword up?

you could try to find a light blue almost clear gloss paint at a paint store, or a hobby store. but you’ll probably have to special order it.

or if you could find blue saran wrap(or something similar)
