Wrap Samurai
how do i fix the (now gray but originally)white leather on my katana?
so i bought this:

and I’m pretty happy with it! But the white wrapping on the hilt looks like a big greasy man held it in his big greasy paws. D:
So I tried leather cleaner!
And it made the whole damn thing grayish. T____T
I can either pay 15 bucks to return it and start all over again, or one of you lovely know how people can give be fantastic advise on how to get it white again. Please? This is very important to me.

this site says the black underwrap is ray skin
First off, on the web site it states that the wrapping is white ray skin, as in sting ray!
Leather cleaner is usually used on chrome tanned leather (as opposed to vegetable tanned).
