how can i tighten the switch on my work knife?

i have a kershaw tonto groove knife and the one-hand open swith is not going all the way out, is there a way to fix it?

I have that knife and I’m not sure what you are talking about. If you mean pushing the flick switch isn’t deploying the knife all the way the problem is in your technique. You need to make sure your fingers are clear, and instead of pushing down on the switch, push it in (in the direction toward the base of the blade, not the tip [when closed]). If that doesn’t do it for you, you’ll need some really tiny torx bits to disassemble the knife and clean the hinge. Good luck. …And it’s “tanto”
