What are the dangers of working in a wild life animal hospital?

I will be in touch with animals like raccoons, snakes…etc…And i am starting my volunteer work this saturday, do you think it is a safe environment for me?

If the facility is a licensed facility and is properly run, then the risks are minimal, as long as you take direction well, practice good hygiene (washing hands frequently) and do not attempt to handle any animal unless you have been properly instructed and supervised.

Make sure that you review emergency first aid procedure with your supervisor, in the unlikely event something would bite or scratch you.
