What kind of knife is this?

I found this old hunting knife on a hiking trail about a year ago and I need help finding out what kind it is. I can make out ”Whitetail Cutlery” on the blade. The blade is 4 3/4” and the knife overall is about 9”.

If it’s Stainless,not so old. If the blade and hand guard are 1 piece you have a forged knife. T.he very best. If the hand guard is aluminium and part of the handle,it is just another knife,not meaning it isn’t good.They simulate forging with aluminium handles,if the steel is the right hardness you could have a good blade.
