Wesson Tactical

I just purchased a Smith and Wesson 4053tsw Tactical .40 pistol. i had the choice between that or a ruger .45?
my question is did i make the right choice between the 4053tsw .40 smith and wesson? i could have purchased the ruger .45? i went for reliability and concealability. smith and wesson is reliable, hands down and is asthetically pleasing haha but so is the ruger in looks, very similar to a glock. i bought the gun used for $350.00 did i get a good deal and did i make the right choice???
I would have made the same choice as you. the price is about right, I disagree about smith being a more reliable though when it comes to semi-autos, my experience is that the smiths are accurate, great factory triggers but always get sent back for repair (at least smith has a kick ass warranty, customer service sucks but they’ve always fixed anything that came up). I think the smiths feel better in the hand and don’t have the rattles of the ruger and are more accurate, not to mention the I find the flat trajectory of the .40 to be more accurate than the .45 and the rounds cheaper.
smiths are decent gun, when it comes to a combat piece that has to be relied upon though they just aren’t a sig sauer, h&k or 9mm glock.
smiths performance center products are another matter entirely, I too drool over the 952 and I have a 52, ammo is expensive (and its hard to find full wadcutters hot enough to cycle the slide, winchester super x are the best so far) and parts are hard to find but the slide moves like butter, less than 1/8 ” trigger travel, 3 lbs pull with no over travel and the dry fire safety makes for a great training gun for people with a flinch. not to mention the single hole groups.
