War Cavalry

Do cavalry officers still wear the civil war style stetson hats?

The Stetson and spurs are NOT covered under Army regulations. Each unit that awards them has their own standards and regs about wear.
If you are a tanker the ONLY way you are going to get the Stetson and spurs is if you go to a CAV unit and either do a spur ride or do a combat tour.
Also it’s AR 670-1 that covers uniforms not 370-1.
