How do you use the sewing eye tool on a Swiss army knife?

I have a Victorinox Swisschamp and obviously i know it has something to do with sewing but my question is what exactly and how do you use? I have always been curious about this. please help.

You insert the flexible wire loop through the eye of the needle, then put the thread through the large loop then pull the loop back through the eye with the thread. Viola! Needle threaded.
