Do any hunters with pet cats ever give them some of the guts from small animals and birds?

I’m wondering if this is safe to do? I sometimes do it with trout I catch and bring home.

I give my cat parts of fish I catch or the heart of an occasional pheasant. He knows when I come home with a catch and is right there to claim his portion. I never let him have entrails because wild game animals almost always have intestinal parasites, which I don’t want him to get. He’s an inside cat because I live in a densely populated area on a very busy road, so he’s not at risk of parasites unless I mess up.
