Why do deniers of prior comparable warming events continue to use tree rings in their chronologies?

Is it because the discredited proxies give them the answer they want to get?

He claims they are useless a temperature proxies, which is obviously true for the reasons mentioned. Apparently what he is so terrified about is that it will further expose Mann as the corrupt liar that he obviously is. I don’t insult people lightly and just because of their politics. I could care less about that. What Mann did was inexcusable. He went against scientific consensus and used contrived data and methods to revise history that has been widely documented in the historical records. He hid the decline because his proxy diverged from actual temperature records. On what planet does that not invalidate the data. He smoothed the record by using proxies with dates that weren’t certain to mask warm periods by cherry picking data. That is an intentional act unless we are supposed to believe he is an incompetent blithering idiot. He would use 8 out of a selection of hundreds of trees in Russia to get some trees that matched his agenda. That is just from memory from something I read a few months ago but it is too obscure to try and find the link. He probably did the same thing with the British trees. No wonder the guy is claiming that his government paid for data is his property and not subject to FOI requests. That guy is having a cow as Bart Simpson would say. It certainly makes you wonder what he is hiding. It also makes you wonder why he didn’t complain when others used that obviously bogus method as the primary ingredient in what started this bogus contrived movement in the first place.

Yea, the bogus part is a partially subjective judgment but given the amount of effort those people go through to uncover any and all possible sources of warming and the fact that it has only risen a degree in a century gives me comfort that there isn’t much actual warming in the real world to find, probably considerably less than the degree advertised.

Someone really needs to put that kind of anti-science activist Mann in his place. He has no business receiving government money or teaching in a public institutionalism, ever. What other field of science would even consider giving honors to someone who corrupts science and the data for political and personal gains? None, that I know of. What other science would have the researchers trying to hide the data from public scrutiny. The guy is going after his emails also. It is past time that sort of treatment is required since they won’t do like other sciences and publish the data until after they manipulate first of course. We are supposed to trust them when they act like the cat that swallowed the proverbial canary when you want to see the raw data they used. Yea right.
