Something is stuck inside my washing machine, please help me?
A while ago, my dad left lots of toothpicks in his pockets on more than one occasion, then one day I open the washing machine, and bam! A bunch of toothpicks were there.
Today I ripped the price tag off my new hoodie, and that plastic thingy, u know, the thingy with the price tag? Is stuck inside the hoodie, do u think that thing will destroy my hoodie or washing machine?
I tried really hard to try to get the little thingy out, but I can’t.
Any advice please?
Also, what do they call that thing LOL
it looks a little something like this:
l————
well accept they “l” is even with the line, and the “l” is stuck inside my hoodie in the part where I can’t get it out
:(

Okay, let’s deal with the toothpick issue, first. If it is a top loading machine, remove the thingy in the middle which is the dispenser for the liquid fabric softener. On mine, it lifts straight off. This will enable you to see more of the bottom of the drum and let you get your hand easily around it to grab any that are on the bottom. Now play pick up sticks and remove any pieces of toothpick you see. Next, find a bunch of rags or towels that need washing. But, don’t make it a full load because you want to use the full capacity setting for the water and have the items in the drum only consume no more than half of the drum space. Set the machine to the soak cycle, but stop it after it fills with water. Let it sit for a good hour then check the machine. Any toothpicks that somehow got through the little holes around the drum should float to the top where you can scoop them up. Then re-set the machine to run the load through.

Actually, the little plastic price tag connector looks more like a sideways I – I———–I, so there is another anchor inside the seam that is attaching it in the same manner that the side holding the tag is. Usually, store employees attach them to the seams so that you can easily remove the other side. But sometimes I’ve seen the other end in an area where there are two layers of fabric, so obviously you will never remove the other end. As long as you cut the plastic as close as you are able to the fabric, it usually will stay in betwen the two layers. So I wouldn’t be terribly worried about it, it shouldn’t do any damage there.
