Introducing The Lampang Flowers Of Thailand

Lampang

Lampang is a northern state in Thailand and contains 13 administrative divisions.

These include: Mueang Lampang Mae Mo Ko Kha Soem Ngam Ngao Chae Hom Wang Nuea Thoen Mae Phrik Mae Tha Sop Prap Hang Chat Mueang Pan

Lampang is located near the Wang River, which is an ancient trading route from China. There are several national parks in the province and they are Tham Pha Thai, Chae Son and Doi Khun Than.

Flowers:

Huay Tek botanical flower gardens in Lampang feature a large amount of flower species that have been grown in 10x10m square plots. These Lampang flowers are grown for sale, and frequently go to the flower trading markets of Bangkok. Flowers are raised in this place due to the temperate local climate of Lampang.

Lampang started life within the late 1600’s and was originally inhabited by the Mon tribe, who would not regard theirselves to be Thai (or Tai) simply because they originated from the great Khmer empire. It was controlled by Burmese rule for many years until eventually the province collaborated with Siam the great state that at some point became recognized as Thailand.

There are lots of things to discover and do in Lampang. Admire the flower gardens at Huay Tek, take a meandering river ride down the Wang, check out the fascinating and ancient structure of the Chao Pho Shrine or go to the Elephant Conservation Center.

Lampang is well known because of its ceramic and terra-cotta. Locals create fine dishes and gourds and religious trinkets produced from terra-cotta. Lampang is an excellent spot to go to during Loy-Kratong when candle lit flower boats are sailed in the Wang river and stunning sky lanterns can be seen floating into the sky. Lampang can easily be reached by means of long distance bus service from Bangkok. Alternatively, take a flight to Chiang Mai and have a coach service after that.
