Sword Wakizashi

Are Wakizashi’s and Tanto’s considered swords?

Just curious

No the tanto is not considered a sword its considered a dager. A Wakizashi is a sword it was the
Samurai’s honer sword and there side arm it was worn on them from the time they got got up till the time they went to bad and never left them and it was put under there pillow when they went to sleep. The tanto was only wern in battle.
