Sucker Punch is an action fantasy motion picture which is based on a comic book. It tells the tale of a young girl that is put into a psychological establishment because she kills her stepfather. The fact that she was shielding her younger sister from him seems to be lost on the authorities and she’s sent to the institution to protect society and sort out her psychological problems.

The movie is set in the 1950′s and the idea goes that the psychological institute is not a good one. They employ all styles of treatment options like electro-shock therapy to ‘cure’ their patients. In reality the whole place is pretty sinister looking, even the entrance seems like some haunted house.

Anyway, it seems clear to the leading protagonist, Baby Doll, that she is going to be in for a tough time in the institution so she goes into a fantasy world in her own mind to accommodate the reality. She meets 4 other girls in the institute too (or are they in her mind ?) who join her in this fantasy world.

Within the fantasy world they are a crack squad on a quest. The quest takes them to out of the ordinary worlds and times from the earth’s history. They battle German soldiers from the 1st world war and a giant Samurai. It really is pretty mad stuff.

The five characters are Baby Doll, Rocket, Amber, Blondie and Sweet Pea. Every one has a costume that is a mix of a ninja fighting outfit and a sexy tight fitting number. Baby doll is without doubt the most girly of the costumes and it looks slightly like a school girl uniform with high black stockings.
