Sword Fantasy

What fantasy novels are strictly similar to either The Sword of Truth or The Lord of the Rings?
Please don’t list anything like Twilight or other vampire and werewolf novels as they are not up to my taste. Thanks in advance!
don’t bother mentioning terry brooks as he copied The Lord of the Rings too much. Also, I’ve already books by David Edings
There are a couple of different authors you could try. Of course Tolkien is the standard by which all are measured, but try the novels of David Gemmell, Guy Kavriel Kay, Bernard Cromwell (Arthurian historical novels, but still set in a time that seems fantastic to us). I can’t think of any others right now but these will keep you going for a while.
