Can i carry a sword in the state of utah?

is it legal to carry a sword in a sheath from my belt? not concealed at all. right out in the open. is there any sort of permit or way to make it legal if it is not?

If you are fencing but other than that yes I think it is illigal. I think you can have a weapon handlers permit or like one for hunting but they are very expencive. If you do walk out on the streets with a sword then you can expect to have a chat with the police.
