Should stiletto heels be considered a weapon?

I know that some styles have a slightly larger base/tip but there are some I have that are really sharp/skinny and one of my girlfriends the other day told me she tends to watch where I walk when I am in them for fear of getting stepped on. Talk about ouch! What do you all think?
