sword( how do i get off rust like stuff and fingernail pain off my stainless steel sword?

i have this sword it is stainless steel katana and my sisters took it out and started to slice threw snow with it and now it has this rust like stuff on it , ive tried pb blaster (weasel piss) but that got rid of a little bit of it. it is like the stuff is embedded in , also they put fingernail Polish on it and i don’t know how to get all of it off plz help………….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

A product called Naval Jelly. Available at any hardware store like Ace, Home Depot, or Lowes, and even probably Target, Wal-Mart, or K-mart. It’s a pinkish thick fluid that gets rid of rust. Try nail-polish remover for the nail polish (same place you’d get nail polish).

BTW… once the rust comes off, you’re probably going to see pitting in the metal. Rust is what happens when your metal oxidizes, so you’re not just taking the rust away, the surface of the metal will be somewhat flawed afterwards. How badly or how noticably flawed will depend on the quality of the metal to begin with and how long the rust sat there.
