Whitby Goth Weekend And A Bike Riding Stag Party
Ive been looking forward to our next trip to the north east coastal town of Whitby for some time now. It also happens that this year our trip falls on the same weekend as the Whitby Goth weekend. This trip has a little extra fun involved as it happends to be a Stag weekend and bike ride rolled into one.
We arrive in Scarborough by train on Friday 30th October and will travel across to Whitby over the course of the weekend by track and trail on our mountain bikes. We are lucky in that the route from Scarborough to Whitby is a scenic one to say the least. Our group has been riding together for some time, we recently completed a coast to coast bike ride for charity, over 3 days. This trip is less intense, and is realy a lads jolly up than a serious bike ride. However none of our group have ridden this route before, which should make for an interesting battle. There will certainly be a surprise or two in store for everyone, a trip in to the unknown, an adventure.
The trip starts at Scarborough YHA (Youth Hostel), this is where we will gloat about our chances of making first into Whitby.Having never stayed at this hostel before it will be interesting to see how it compares to the newly refurbished and restored splendour of its Whitby neighbour. I researched several different biking websites to plan our trip from Scarborough to Whitby. The other really useful, dare I say indispensable website was http://www.thewhitbyguide.co.uk. Type Whitby Stag into Google and there it is at the top. Offering tips, advice and comprehensive details of all of the very best Whitby has to offer. If your planning a visit to Whitby, this website should be the first place you visit. What i found most useful was the rate and review system which allowed people to rate and comment on accommodation, restaurants and bars, giving an independant view of the town.
We had to decide on a fancy dress theme for our Stag party, and with it been Goth Weekend in the town, what better opportunity to join in and get Gothic for a few hours.Hallo’een has an added appeal and should draw an eclectic mix of Goths, Bram Stoker fans and tourists. Our intention for the weekend is to have a high energy, action packed Stag Party. Im sure a few of the lads will be cursing digital cameras and facebook by the time this trip is over.I cannot wait to get these pictures online for the world to see. If you have been inspired by our trip and fancy your own Stag weekend in Whitby, then the following link for accommodation is very useful Whitby Accommodation
