There’s a spider in my room… and I can’t find it, and I can’t sleep knowing… how to find it?? HELP!!!!!?

So I was playing on my laptop in my bed, until I see something in the corner of my eye, I flip on the lights and there is this NASTY spider with a yellow marking on it (it’s black besides the yellow) and I ran to get some TP to squish it, but it got away (speedy little devil) and now I can’t find it! it ran off the edge of my bed (my bed is against the wall, it went by down by the wall) and now I can’t find it!! I’ve tried looking for it, but no luck, it’s been about an hour and I haven’t seen it yet..

I once tore my room apart in search of a big spider to no avail. I even pulled the dresser drawers out, tipping the dresser upside down to check on it’s bottom. The only thing I could figure, the bugger went down the heat register. He knows you are after him, he won’t be back tonight. I didn’t see mine until a couple months later. My cat spied him crawling on the ceiling. With the cat watching, seemed he sensed that and stopped in his tracks. I was able to get a fly swatter from downstairs and get back up to stand on the bed to kill him. Spiders are important, but not in my bedroom. Since getting a cat, my house is pretty much bug free, he even kills the ladybugs.
