Shirasaya Katana

About Sword Laws In japan?
I have two questions here:
1st: I have one katana in shirasaya made from 9260 steel, can I bring it with me in Japan, I’m a martial arts practitioner if it matters.
2nd: I heard in Japan are allowed only Katana Swords made from tamahagakane steel. If I go to a swordsmith and I want my sword to be made from another material will he make it?
I wouldn’t bother bringing any kind of swords.Period.And no, it doesn’t matter if you practice martial arts.A katana is a sword…
Many swords in Japan are cheap imports from China / India.
BTW, having a sword hand made in Japan would cost you a great deal of money.
