Which is better, a series of small snacks or three regular meals per day?
i’m 13 years old and i’m just a tad bit overweight. I want to help my mom lose some weight and so we are both trying to be healthier. If you have an answer, please post asap.

Defanetly 6 small meals a day, even if you aren’t that hungry for snacks.
Take it from some one who has RECOVERED from an eating disorder. It’s good to have a some-what large breakfast, i usually have like a bowl of cereal and an apple in the morning at 7 or 8. Then around 10-11Am i have a small snack like crackers and cheese or a drink. At 12-1Pm, i eat lunch (sandwich and crackers) and then an afternoon snack around 3-3:30Pm. At 5-6Pm is dinner time and then ONLY if i’m hungry, i have a midnight/PM snack at around 9-12Pm.
So yes 6 small meals, every THREE to FOUR hours, a day plus exersize (30-40Minutes).
This helps speed up metabalizm and keeps your weight stable.
And if your losing weight, please make sure not to under eat. Eat the what you usually eat, but just a little less. like if you were to snack on ritz, put a few (or to be more specific 6-10) in a small snack baggie instead of eating half the box. You know, and if you are working out a little extra, be sure to increase your protein intake (like meats) and lessen your carbs (like chips and cracker exc.)
Be careful and stay safe, and remember most diets end up as eating disorder…believe me you DO NOT want that to happen. Good luck! Hope i helped! (:
