my boyfriend got stung by a scorpion?

my boyfriend got a pet scorpion:s & it stung him.. he says his finger still stings and that happened about 4 hours ago: should he be worried?

I’ve been stung lots of times by scorpions (live in a real sandy area) and the sting can stay with u awhile. I was stung on my toe once and it tingled all day. I think it depends on the area and type of scorpion. We have small brown scorpions here and im not allergic. If his finger is swollen and irritated u may want to go to a doctor. I would call the pet store he got the scorpion from and ask them if it is poisonous.
