According to Philippine culture, wedding of two siblings within the same year is considered bad luck and is called sukob.

Destination weddings, similar to double weddings, were mainly inspired by couples wanting to make their wedding a memorable one. A destination wedding is any wedding in which the engaged couple, alone or with guests, travels to attend the ceremony; most often in a vacation-like setting. Mainly, destination weddings are held outside of the church.
Another new type of wedding, the weekend wedding, is bit different from other types of weddings. This type of wedding usually involves couples and their guests celebrating the event over the course of a weekend. Lodging usually is at the same facility as the wedding and couples often host a Sunday brunch for the weekend’s finale.
Recognized Types Of WeddingsThese types of weddings are usually recognized around the world and of most societies. These includes:

• Civil wedding

Military weddings are usually conducted in a military chapel and may involve a Saber Arch. Civil weddings is one of the oldest type of wedding today, aside from white wedding. A civil wedding is a ceremony presided over by a local civil authority, such as an elected or appointed judge or the mayor. These wedding could either be elaborate or simple, which usually depends on the couple. Many civil wedding ceremonies take place in local town or city halls or courthouses in judges’ chambers.
