Another key festival in September is the Jousting Championships. Both the Renaissance Faire and Jousting Championships take place every September at the Calaveras Fairgrounds in Angels Camp, CA.The ISD Renaissance Festival is yet another popular festival that falls in the month of September.

During this festival, people appear in their best medieval costumes. In this competition the champion is judged on the basis of his/her chivalric ideas, honesty, bravery, courage, wit, honor and intellect. Wooden Pirate Sword and High Seas Boots are the kind of medieval costumes that the champion must wear befitting his stature.

North-West Arkansas Renaissance Festival is celebrated in the month of October with gaiety and pomp. People come and join this festival in their best renaissance dresses. Hanford Renaissance of Kings is the oldest continuously running renaissance festival in California. Admission is free, so come and join in celebrating the Coronation and Marriage of King Henry VIII to his queen, Katherine of Aragon!
