How Old Art Can Turn Into New Art

When this particular artist paints a pug, the animal looks alarmingly like Winston Churchill, perhaps because it is posing in a high collar, necktie and waistcoat. Some call it anthropomorphic art. Paintings that date back to the 18th and 19th century are usually what this artist would restore. If you like this article on paintings visit cat portrait oil painting for more education.

For originality, this artist then takes the painting and places an animal’s face over it. His works are what he calls aristochiens and aristocrats, as this Belgian artist was a restores when he started. This artist is so talented he really can make his animals look like Englishmen in his masterpieces.

He blends pigments and brush strokes so carefully that it is impossible to separate the original portrait from the artist’s added touches. Amazingly, it really does look like an original piece in itself despite the touches he has added. Even the president of the American society says he would not necessarily enjoy this time of artwork.

One of the pieces from this artist was auctioned off not long ago by the animal society in New York. In an upscale gallery the public got to see the 27 piece collection of this artist. The gallery provides an unusually apt setting for his oeuvre. If you like this paintings article check out custom paintings from photos make unique for more top quality information.

This artist does not wish for his pieces to be overly out there though according to an interview of him, he also wants it to be different from the other works of artists. Poetic would be the world he would use to describe his paintings. The artist has also begun to notice that the people who typically enjoy purchasing his work are those that are first in their field or those who have a good sense of humor.

It was also seen that more often than not the aristos of Europe and royals are the ones the eagerly buy his work. The work of this artist is not scattered mostly in royal palaces and into the collection of people who previously have ancestral portraits in their homes. Who would have known that these pieces of art would actually be chic enough to hang on walls?

This artist will go to many flea markets, antique shops and private homes so as to look for good pieces that he restore and then recreate. Notably, this German pointer looks like he can pass for a French officer at the battle of Alma in a blue dress uniform with gold epaulettes, sword and an array of medals. Sometimes the pieces that this artist gets even come with family crests. The symbols will be concealed with tiny dog bones or whatever the artist feels like painting.

He even used his dog to cover up the faces of matrons in one of his paintings. It is inevitable not to have haters as now people think this artist is disrespecting many ancestral portraits. According to the artists dogs have the right to be part of this work since they help put people in their places. Dogs never disappoint you they appreciate you even if you are ugly and stupid. The artist also feels that there is more to a dog then meets the eye.

One would have to spend around $5,000 to $8,000 to get a portrait like this. Notably a professor of art history at the local university said that this way of art is not new to people. Apparently two famous painters as 18th and 19th century graphic artists and satirists have already works similar to this.

A wonderful/rueful running gag in El Dorado involves the Edgar Allan Poe line “Ride, boldly ride” being mangled by toupee-wearer Wayne into “Ride, baldy, ride.” Two years later, in True Grit, Wayne put the joke in italics by donning an eyepatch and several inches of girth to play cantankerous territorial marshal Rooster Cogburn. Critics belatedly noticed that he could be a marvelously entertaining…
