Opening Folder

How do I get the computer to ask what I want when I put a disc in rather than just opening the folder?

I have DVD-ROM and DVD-RW drives on my computer. The latter I installed yesterday. Before that whenever I put a CD or DVD in a list came up asking what I wanted to do – ie. play the disc, open folder to view files etc. Now when I put a disc in either drive it just opens the folder. How can I change it back to the list? I’ve clicked the ‘prompt me…’ box in hardware properties but it hasn’t made a difference. Please help! Thanks.
