What is the origin of the Master Sword?

In the Zelda series… does the ‘Master Sword’ have a creator? Why is it the Master Sword? How is it different than any other sword… just curious :)

The Master Sword was made by Ancient Sages of Hyrule who knew the Triforce would be used for evil so they made the sword but you have to be pure of heart and strong of body to use it.It was placed in the Pedestal of Time with the Temple Of Time built around it so that one day,A person would be able to use it when evil presents itself.
