What age did you introduce cutlery for your toddler?

My little boy has just bout mastered the art of the spoon now (at 19 months) I was just wondering what age would be right to progress to a fork? Obviously, he has no need of a knife because I cut everything for him, and because I would be concerned that he might try to cut open his little brother…

My son’s 1, he doesn’t feed himself but I feed him with his baby fork sometimes. On the packets it says from 12months plus, maybe you could start him off with a plastic fork so he can’t hurt himself and just supervise him and see how that goes. Good luck Xx
