Machete Machette

Which company makes a good machette to cut through bush and heavy brush?

A machete that won’t cut your head in half cause its cheaply made. I have heard Gerber makes good stuff. Please tell of experiences and model machette’s and knives.

Sure Gerber makes some nice knives but their machete sucks big time! As does their plastic handle hand axe.
The handle breaks.

I agree with your fist answer by the general. Ontario knife Co. makes darn good machetes and Cold steel makes pretty good ones also.

I live in a costal rain forest in Alaska. I have a military surplus machete made by Ontario Knife Co. I have used it every year for over 13 years hacking my way through some real tough stuff like Devil’s Club and its still in fine shape. A friend had a Gerber and it broke within the first morning of use on Devils Club.
