I have my master’s degree in English but I want to be an air force pilot. How likely is it to get a slot?

I am 23 and have my master’s degree in English. I do not wish to follow the academic path, but would rather do what I have always dreamed of. Are pilot slots typically only given to people with aeronautical engineering (and similar) degrees, or are liberal arts degrees also able to earn a position? I am mostly interested in the air force or navy. I have researched other careers in the military, but I am always drawn to the aviation career path. Any information other than links to the usual websites would be beneficial. Thanks.

The test for Officer Training School (Air Force) includes a portion to assess basic pilot/navigator aptitude. You are not obligated when you test. If you fail either the basic aptitude or physical (especially vision, hearing, and balance) you can elect to follow another path or say good-bye. Good luck and thanks in advance for your service.
