Sims 2 University Life Collection Help?

Well, my dad and i r trying to figure this damn thing out. Whenever i want 2 play the sims 2 university life collection, it starts loading and then a sign pops out of nowhere and says ‘the application has crashed, it will now terminate’. WTF?!? How can i be able 2 play my game without it saying that nasty crap? I am starting 2 get very angry and thinking about taking it back 2 the store. But i dont want to. Any ideas?
