Kydex Sheath

I am bit confused help me out?
well just want to know about the convex edge so many people are putting on there knives.I heard it cuts better than the traditional triangular edge is it true?could you explain. Also whats the easiest way to put a convex edge on a knife i heard about the sand paper and mouse pad method but what grit does the sand paper have to be and last leather or kydex sheaths with one is overall better
What you’re actually talking about is a knife edge that’s more steeply angled than the usual 12 to 15 degrees of most knife edges. A heavy 15 to 18 degree edge-bevel is usually most suitable on an axe, but not on a knife.
(I’d like to see someone actually put a, ‘convex edge’ on a knife in the field!)
Kydex is great for many different uses. I, particularly, like it for holsters; however, Kydex and cold weather don’t work well together. Unless you keep the sheath (or holster) very close to your body, you’re going to have a cracking problem.
For all around use, I like leather. For draw speed, I like Kydex. I use both on my knives and guns.
