Guys..Is this a good birthday gift?

It’s my husband 22nd birthday..He loves knives and swords but with 3 kids I didnt want to get him a “show sword” or anything that the kids might get their hands on.

I collect as well, and would have to honestly say that although I’d appreciate the idea of the gift I wouldn’t appreciate the gift itself so much.

A “show sword” (which is pretty much all of them now) is kid friendly as long as its mounted out of reach, solidly to a wall. Despite what you may think, the younger they are the better, since they would grow up with it in sight at all times. Kids are drawn to whatever is new and automatically taboo–if you hang it up and shrug, they won’t pay it much mind.

I hang most of my collection via wires, so everything seems to “float” on the wall without many visible hangers. If you want pics or need instructions, let me know.
