Knives Fire

Flint Magensium Fire Kit can be used with Stainless Steel Knife?
I want to use a stainless steel knife for making fire with a flint/magnesium fire kit.
I heard that a stainless steel knife isn’t good for striking at the fint because the stainless steel doesnt break as easy as a Carbon Steel knife.
Is this true? Where can I find a carbon steel knife? Everything seems to be stainless steel.
True.
It is more difficult with a stainless blade.
I have a small foldable carbon steel pocketknife from Opinel. I’ve had mine since 1991. Most fishing stores have them. They make a stainless blade too.
