Does anybody know something about the upcoming Resident Evil 5 game?

I heard that the enemies for this game will be a mixture of ganado with zombies, thirsty for blood. I also heard that the game will be base by temperature. If the character stays too long in the heat of the sun it will get tire easily. You’ll have to find a dark spot to cool down. Instead of the classic knife carried in previous games, the character will carry a machete. The setting will probably somewhere in South America.

Mostly everything that I’ve heard is speculation. The only things that I do know for a fact is that the zombies will be able to run pretty fast, the main character is Chris from a previous Resident Evil title, and that sunlight will have a big impact on the game.(I don’t know in what ways, maybe like you mentioned.) Everything else I’ve read or heard are all rumors at this point.

1. May be exclusive to the PS3
2. May be exclusive to the Xbox 360
3. Leon makes an appearance in the game as a zombie
4. Lead designer of Gears of War “CliffyB” is helping the people at Capcom with the game
5. It will be a castle-less Resident Evil game
6. There will be more animal zombies like gorillas and white tigers
7. The main character will carry a canteen and water rejuvenates health.
8. May change the laser aiming mechanic
9. The player will be able to strafe in the game.
10. It will be Resident Evil 4 on steroids.
