Is it legal to throw knives at trees in your backyard?

I want to practice knifethrowing, so do I have to go out into the woods or is throwing knives at my own tree legal?
The tree is right infront of my shed, so if I would miss it’s not like the knife would go into my neighbors yard and hit him or anything like that.

Um… It’s a shame you want to harm an innocent tree, but it’s not illegal, unless there’s a risk the knife could leave your property and/or hit someone else. If your yard is fenced in or far away from other people’s property, the police won’t bother you.
