Can i wear a knife on my belt in Illinois?

My knife is a straight knife, it doesn’t close or open or flip or switch, its within the size the law allows, 3.5 inches, and it just stays in a sheath on my belt fairly visible, its a hunting knife, i typically just wear it when im outdoors doing things of that nature but occasionally i forget its on me and might go into a mcdonalds or gas station or something with it on,

Don’t go near a courthouse.
Illinois laws read in 720 ILCS 5/24-1 Unlawful use of weapons does nor say anything about a weapon unless concealed or spring load knives.
Just keep it visible so it’s not concealed. Check with local authorities for further clarification and local ordinances.
