When did Gerber start making junk knives?
Bought a Machete from them, it came dull. Couldn’t hardly cut paper.
Then, more recently, I bought a serrated Gerber BG series knife, it came pretty sharp, but the handle feels cheap and will probably break easily. Sheath was acceptable on both.
My old Gerber pocket knives were great, but now, Gerber’s products seem like something that should cost a lot less.
Anyone else noticed this?
Did they ever NOT make junk? I had a Mark II in the early 1980s that simply broke in half for no apparent reason. Never had another Gerber, never will.
