SCHRADE OLD TIMER KNIFE MODEL 1540T?

Does anyone know what kind of metal the SCHRADE OLD TIMER KNIFE MODEL 1540T is made of? (im talking about the original US made ones, not the new ones from china)

high carbon steel-not stainless
they need a little more care, but I’ve had mine since 1982
easier to sharpen ,but you’ll have to sharpen it more often
