Is there a standard outdoors-man’s knife that is the best of its kind or would a Navy SEAL knife do the trick?

I am looking for an outdoors-man’s knife that is considered to be the best of its kind by individuals in the industry. Kind of like the Rolls-Royce of outdoors-man’s knives. Would a Navy SEAL knife be better for the job or not really right for the job of being in raw nature?
Dave, I appreciate your detailed and informative answer but I am actually looking to chop down trees, field dress deer, and play Rambo. So considering this, and the fact that I already own a Leatherman, which is great by the way, what is the Rolls of fixed blade large knives?

Axe, chain saw, heavy stainless steel machette if cutting down trees unless you are doing the city boy talk of calling boughs,twigs, small branches trees. A good thin blade axe ( one that rings like a bell when tapped ) and a good knife with good steel (not a macho one) and a sharpening method is all a good woodsman (outdoors man) needs.A knife is ok for doing movies or for chewing on trees with.
