what are some good pocket knife brands?

I am an avid knife collector. My most recent knife I carried around was a Smith and Wesson SWMP4LS and the spring came lose and it broke. I now want a nice high quality knife from good, well-known brands like cold steel and spyderco. I do not want any thing automatic or spring assisted. Any suggestions?

I consider Syderco a good brand. I have a S&W Black Ops that I have had for a few years and have had no problems. You may just have gotten a bad one that slipped through their quality control. If you want a regular pocket knife, Case has been around for a long time. They make very good knoves. I also have a Zippo lock blade that I like.
