Kabar knife in the event of a zombie invasion good or disastrous idea?

So in the event of a zombie invasion, would a kabar knife be good or bad for self defense and survival? Would it break or stay? And this is killing=skull penetration.

A knife should be a last resort weapon. You have to get very close to use a knife and there is always the chance it will not penetrate into the brain. Even a common claw hammer would be a better choice.
