Is it illegal to ship knife kits to Australia.?

I want to order some knives online but they are kits and i dont know if they are illegal. They ship the parts seperately and they say they are legal in australia. Because i want to get a switchblade kit, butterfly knife kit, OTF knife kit. Also would shipping through a courrier like DHL better (do they get through customs easier?).
