what is better for a katana factory sharp or razor sharp for a katana sword set?

Depends on how much money you want to spend. Is the sword even worth sharpening or is it just a display sword? A good sword will cost well over $500 and upwards of $10,000. If it is worth sharpening, it’s not something you can do yourself. You will need to send it to a professional. Katana blades aren’t polish sharp and it takes a lot of work and they charge per inch (I want to say $50-$100???). Ask Sensei Scandal. I think he knows the price of katana sharpening.
