Karambit All
Am I the only one who’s hating TSA right now??? Those SOB’s stole my….?
U say “how do you know it was TSA”? How do you know it wasn’t?
I flew Southwest from Sacramento to Ontario,CA for some work. I’m trained in martial arts and wanted to practice with my karambit knife while I was there in my off time. As we all know TSA rules say if you have that sort of an item it must be checked with your luggage, ok. I got to So. Cali everything was fine and accounted for. While I was there, I picked up a service knife and brought it back with me along with my martial arts knife. When I got home and was unpacking I found that the service knife was accounted for but my karambit martial arts knife that right next to it was gone. So now I’m checking all the pockets and what do I find….that damn yellow piece of paper telling me my bag was selected for a random search.
If it was truly a security risk, why let the regular knife through but take the specialty knife. I’ve filed a claim with TSA but after reading all these blogs I’m not feeling to confident
Somewhere listed they may have a stipulation saying knives over X inches must be in a certain type of packaging. It is very likely removed and sent to the “auction house” where the airports auctino off unclaimed luggage and items seized by the TSA.
