Japanese Wakizashi

Can you tell me about Japanese warfare of 12. , 13. and 14. century warfare?

I know almost everything about Japanese warfare of 15. century and later, but I don’ t know anything about warfare before 15. century. Can you tell me some answers on these questions:

the katana and wakizashi were worn long before the 15 century. The armor was fairly the same, and the weapons were the usual swords, naginatas, spears, bow and arrow. if im not mistaken, firarm use was recorded in the late 14 century.
