Why did Japanese Attack US Navy?
Why did Japanese attack US Navy???
i heard that they attack US Navy because they can conquer others Nation without worried about US Navy?? is that right???? any other information can provide????
Simply put,Japan needed to obtain the raw materials and resources it didn’t have.
American Policy towards Japan had sought to cut off Japan economically because of it’s conquest of China.
The US was the main Pacific Power.
By disabling the US Navy’s ability to exert it’s power in the Pacific and Asia, Japan could proceed to expand southward without having the US on it’s flank.
In the 1930′s Japan was a militaristic, nationalistic country, convinced of it’s superiority. It did not really believe America, a country of many races and ethnic groups, a democracy still suffering from the depression, could compete militarily against the heterogeneous Japanese population. Most of the military leaders [with the notable exception of Admiral Yamamoto,who planned the attack on Pearl Harbor], thought by destroying America’s Pacific Fleet, the United States would not have the political will to fight against Japan…
