Stainless Steel Jewelry, is it Haram or cultural superstition?
Gold prices have skyrocketed and Stainless steel jewelry is really popular right now wear I live. I was looking at Stainless steal small flower earrings at the mall, they were really pretty. My mom told to not to get them because she said the word: its loha (translation its rod metal). Meaning that steel was used in ancient war times to make swords, daggers, knifes and other sharp weaponry and that to wear steel and to have it go through your body is bad omen/connotation. Is this truly an islamic philosophy or desi superstition? Please enlighten me with your answers.
Cultural superstition. Stainless steel isn’t haram.
