Ready to go to hit the crappie hole?

The crappie will soon be on the spawn. About a month I sank 10 Christmas trees in my favorite fishing hole preparing for “opening season”.
I got my spinning reels ready and plenty of jigs. Boat and trailer legal all ready to go…the weather is breaking and my buddy shows up and we’re eager to leave. Just as we are walking out the door….
The phone rings….
“Honey, the school called and I need you to pick up our daughter, she isn’t feeling good and I can’t take off from work today. Your gonna have to watch her.”
Oh NO! Now what?
This question is for “thinking outside of the box”.
In all reality, chances is after a long winter (and I still have about 2-3 months to wait) my kids would would pretend to be sick to go with me fishing. They are my favorite fishing buddies

You’ve got a problem there just take them fishing and don’t tell your wife, I’m sure the child wont be feeling ill after a few hours fishing in the fresh air.
